Mango's
5th Anniversary April 15th, 1999 we celebrated 5 years at Mango's. We had an afternoon beach volleyball tournament followed by kayak and aquacycle races. In the Rock Lobster disco it was free food and drinks between 7 and 9 PM. The menu was a smorgasbord of Philippine, Thai, Mexican, Italian and American food. Great door prizes included cases of beer, t-shirts, beer mugs, dinners for 2, bottles of wine etc. We even had some exotic giveaways native to Asia that you won't find in Kansas. There was a mini-one shot pool tournament and of course Mama Beth worked out some skits and shows by the Rock Lobster Dancers. Several of the shows you may remember from circa '86-'91 such as the Chicadita Show and the Drunken Sailor Show and the School Girl becomes Hostess Show. All the costumes were new and we changed much of the music. We want to thank those of you who have been a part of the Whiskey River, Rock Lobster, Love Shack and Mango's Family. It's been a great ride and just keeps getting better. |
